The Beached Lemons

The Beached Lemons will be a Hawaii/beach theme.
Picture a lemon with sunglasses with hands on his fat lemon belly, tanning himself in the sun, with the ocean theme décor all around…..and even maybe a shark photo booth. Serving a refreshing lemonade with the umbrella like you are cruising at the beach.
We can add the umbrellas and a slice of pineapple to the drinks for presentation too.

Waianae Squeezies

Our team consists of students that participate in an after school STEM group. Through the 21st century grant, we are able to plan, imagine, and create innovative projects. Most of our materials that we use for our project based learning activities are through recycled materials and goods. We feel that with our STEM background, and previous experience with experimentation, collaboration and discussion we will be able to help create an original lemonade recipe that reflects our community, Waianae. Our vision is to create a lemonade unique to our school, and westside community.

K4 ROCKS!

K4ROCKS is a new social club formed after my younger son Jason’s Science Fair at le Jardin this past December. It combines mentoring in a buddy system with his older brother’s classmates at Kailua High School who are in the Special Ed program. While helping keep our community plastic and trash free, these kiddos are forming respectful bonds between the public school and private school students while raising awareness about the 350.org movement. Their proceeds go to Autism Awareness and 350.org or buying trash bags and gloves. This event will also help their service hour requirements. The group is formed of military kids and third generation Hawaiian Keiki. Go Blue Planet!!!
