KITV4 Loves L Alley!

Here’s what KITV4 had to say about Lemonade Alley, 2014:

When life gave these kids lemons, they did a whole lot more than make lemonade. Over 25 teams of students took part in the Lemonade Alley business competition. Judges included KITV4 morning anchor Ashley Moser.

The teams created a one-day business with a recipe and booth of their design. After the sales pitch, the drinks were taste tested and sold to thirsty customers. The competition is not just fun. It also teaches the budding entrepreneurs a valuable lesson.

“It’s important to get involved with this because it’s life skills. They learn how to start a business and to support community at all the same time,” said Chief Lemon Head Steve Sue.

The team’s proceeds from their lemonade sales go to a charity of their choice. A $1,000 prize was awarded to each of the three winning teams: Team Sweet and Sour, Team Celestial Citrus and Team Local-licious.
