Booth Sponsor TIPS!

by | Apr 9, 2014 | Donors, Contest Tips

Lemonade Alley Teams are encouraged to get cash sponsors for their booths to both gain judging points and make more money for charity. There are two ways to accept sponsor donations, each with a somewhat different outcome:

1. Sponsor Donates as a 2X Booth Bonus Sponsor. This method results in the team getting Sales Performance points in the amount of twice times the actual donation. Such Performance points count toward competition judging. Under this path, the sponsor’s donated proceeds go to Lemonade Alley to support the event (Lemonade Alley is part of a 501c3 non-profit ~ if paying by check, make checks payable to BizGym Foundation, note the team being credited with the donation and turn in before the close of sales on day of show). A tax deduction letter will be mailed to the sponsor following the event.

2. Donor Buys Scrip or Contributes Cash to Team’s Tip. The second path of donating to a booth on show day results in funds being first available for team reimbursement costs, then Lemonade Tax (20%) and the final balance going the team’s charity. In both versions, tax deduction receipts will be available at Scrip Tents. Sponsors don’t have to donate at published corporate sponsor levels thus can donate any amount they wish.

Thanks for caring about the details of giving. Now on with the show!
